MRC Prodigy Advanced Squared DCC System w/Extension Box

I have a almost brand new MRC Prodigy Advanced Squared DCC system for sale. It
is in the original box with paperwork and packaging. It also includes a brand
new Extension Box as well. I would like to get $175 + shipping for the unit or
$160without the Extension Box. PayPal is preferred but not required and I will
ship International for actual cost.

Darn Derails!!!

This is what happened today when we took the grandkids to the Depot.
Do not know who was at fault here for sure but this is what happens when those pesky derails are not thrown.

Low top end?

OK, I’m stumped. My Ac-12 has the TCS drop in 8 pin decoder. The top speed absolutely tops out a throttle setting of 12 on a 28 step throttle. I don’t get it.

Is there a pre-programmed max voltage output with this decoder?
It only pulls .19 amps at speed step 12 or 28.

I’ve tried to reset CV5 to 255 and CV6 to 130 to try and get max volts to the motor but nothing changed.

Anybody got an answer?

Intermountain Service?

Anybody have any experience with Intermountain’s Service? Good – Bad – Fast – Slow?

My Ac-12 has developed a thump in the front set of drivers that torques the front axle nearly off the track. It must have picked something up off the layout or a gear is busted.

I’m going to call Intermountain in the am. I’m a little leary at this point, they already promised to send me a parts packet since mine was short some couplers and I haven’t seen that yet. That’s been about a week.

This content was also posted on the N scale forum this morning but I wonder if this forum might not be more suitable in retrospect.

In preparation for a major operating event in September I have been putting in the necessary tools to dispatch the Columbia & Western under TT&TO. This includes both a phone system and a computer-driven Dispatching panel for controlling the Train order signals. The former makes use of inexpensive wireless handset phones in intercom mode while the latter uses JMRI/Panelpro, Digitrax stationary decoders and custom circuitry. I also continue to make progress on the scenery with the objective of finishing all scenery on the second level (sand bridges and finished buildings) before September. Videos of trains rolling through this scenery are also posted on Youtube at the location below.
